Swallows Ridge - Stunning views, explore and relax

Close to Goat Island, Pakiri and Mathesons Bay, this new bach has spectacular views in two directions. Sleeping 10, it has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two decks, and is set on 10 acres.

After a short drive (60 mins from Auckland), relax on the south deck, and enjoy a landscape of inlets, peninsulas and villages, to the Skytower. On the large north facing deck, from your deckchair the view looks down onto Pakiri Beach, and stretches out as far as the Hen and Chicken Islands, and Whangarei Heads.

It is always cool in summer, with sliding doors opening onto decks both north and south to catch refreshing breezes. It is cosy in the winter, with an open log fire.

Short drives on scenic roads will take you to 3 gorgeous beaches: Goat Island, Mathesons Bay and Pakiri Beach. Further afield is Omaha beach, Tawharanui Reserve Park, and Matakana with its boutiques, markets, galleries, crafts and wineries. Try horse-riding, charter a fishing boat, catch the ferry to explore outlying islands, hire dive gear... We provide a detailed suggestion list :).

The bach literally sits at the start of two extraordinary hiking trails; the Tamahunga Trail, and the Pakiri Trail.
