Karangahake itself has much to offer, whether it is time out you are looking for or great food from the local cafes & the Ohinemuri Winery or you are wanting to explore the new Hauraki Cycle Trail.
Paeroa hosts many events during the year with the V8 Show, Highland games & Tattoo and "Battle of the Streets" motorcycle races all in February, a Wine & Food Festival in March, "Celebration of Arts" in July, awesome Jazz Festival in August and an Antiques Weekend in September. There's always something happening in the town.
