Our Bach is a charming, well-built home with three bedrooms, (with beds for seven, including one double bed). However, there is still plenty of floor space left to squeeze a couple more in if needed. The bach sits on a large section with further room for a tent and day time fun without leaving the section, if desired. The kitchen includes a full-sized stove, microwave and small fridge and dining table with seating for 4. All pots, pans etc are there, ready for the using. A pot belly is in the corner of the living area and there are plenty of pine cones collected on our walks so we have never had to buy firewood. The end of the dining area doubles as a small lounge with couch and chairs for enjoying the fire.
There is a separate lounge, with further seating for four and french doors opening onto a front porch. The bathroom has a toilet, basin and shower. The bach provides a comfortable base from which to enjoy the many wonders of Naseby.
If you don't know what Naseby has to offer, here are just a few things.... Naseby has the only Southern luge. Winter activities include ice skating outdoors or at the indoor rink. The area has extensive walking tracks. The "rail trail" passes near Naseby, so this bach would be an excellent base from which to do some of this track. There is also a golf course and tennis courts. Summer opens up the local swimming holes, some of which include fly-fishing and are suitable for swimming or kayaking. Ranfurly is just ten minutes away by car and both Naseby and Ranfurly have hotels and cafes. Both Ranfurly and Naseby have stores so shopping for food etc is just a cycle or car ride away. The local pubs offer great personalities and a cold beer or hot meal, as required. The whole area is very child friendly and you can often see entire families cycling past or carrying their lilos up to the swimming dam for a day in the sun. It's a peaceful, safe place to stay. The price is $80 per night, but rates can be negotiated for long term stay.
