We are the closest accomodation to our ionic Mt Manaia and the Manaia Club. There is a walking track to the top of Manaia that was recently upgraded Oct 2010. Magnificent views of Whangarei Harbour, Whangarei Heads right around to the East Coast and Ocean Beach can be seen from the top. We are nestled below Mt Manaia overlooking McLeod Bay so have fantastic views from large north facing deck. Perfect to sit back, relax and unwind.

We are surrounded by fantastic beaches from sheltered harbour to surfers paradise at Ocean Beach, also awesome walking tracks from 30min to 5 hrs with spectacular native bush, bird life and views.

We are within walking distance of a cafe and country club and also we have our very own Marine Reserve 5 Min drive which opened 2006, fantastic for diving, snorkling and kayaking (There is Kayak Hire in McLeod Bay).

10min drive away is the Historic Parua Bay Tavern a must to visit while here, great meals and atmosphere right on the waters edge.

Our unit is very spacious and clean, North facing with large private deck. It is fully self contained with most home comforts and just has the most fantastic views.

We also have loads of parking so why not bring your boat, we have wash down facilities available and also BBQ to cook your catch.

Wait for dusk and listen for Kiwi and Morepork on Mt Manaia and Mt Aubrey, Whangarei Heads is one of only four Kiwi Sanctuaries in NZ so there are many Kiwi in our bush which makes our area so special.
