Grant began his real estate career when he moved to Queenstown in 1993. He has experienced every market change during his near on 18 years in the industry and believes this is where experience and knowledge really counts. Grant says that working in the local property market requires a sound knowledge of all aspects of the area, a good relationship with the locals and an honest reputation.
Getting a true value of what your property is worth is extremely important and I believe that owners should be given experienced and professional advice on how to achieve this. This will help vendors decide if now is the right time to sell and determine a realistic value for their property in the current market place.
I have sold the likes of Matakauri Lodge (Queenstown’s second largest luxury lodge) and was the exclusive agent for the Keystone Villa Complex in Sunshine Bay and Grandview Rural Estate on Tuckers Beach Road. I have sold eleven properties so far this year.
Formerly of Invercargill, Grant’s love of the Wakatipu and the wonderful lifestyle on offer is what drew him to the area. He now lives in Kelvin Heights with his wife Deborah, who has owned and operated Collective Hair Salon for 17 years.
Grant and Deborah also established the Queenstown Sociable Club.
Grant was the chairman and the driving forces behind the inaugural Queenstown Auto Extravaganza Car Show which is a fund raiser for the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
