Positioned in the heart of Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour precinct, 39 Market Place presents a rare opportunity to secure space within one of the waterfront’s most recognisable character buildings. Originally constructed in 1916 as the Auckland City Council Municipal Markets and later comprehensively refurbished, the property combines heritage appeal with a modern workplace environment. A range of spaces are currently available from approximately 250–2,500sqm, offering flexibility for a variety of occupiers.
The tenancies showcase the building’s industrial character through high stud ceilings, exposed services and raw concrete columns, while existing fit-outs provide functional working environments including collaborative areas and client entertaining spaces with outlooks towards the Viaduct. Surrounded by the hospitality and lifestyle amenity of the Viaduct, Victoria Quarter and Wynyard Quarter, the building is also well connected with nearby parking facilities and a short walk to Britomart Transport Centre and the ferry terminal.
