37 Waikakahi Road Pongaroa, Pongaroa, Tararua

Positioned on the doorstep of Pongaroa Village, this impressive 305-hectare (subject to survey) sheep and cattle breeding and finishing property presents a rare opportunity to secure a versatile farming asset with significant upside potential. Comprising a mix of flat, rolling, medium and steeper hill country, the property offers the scale and diversity required to efficiently breed, grow and finish stock all on-farm.

A particularly exciting feature of this offering is the existing quarry operation. The vendors have recently undertaken a subdivision and are prepared to offer royalty payments from the quarry to the new owners, creating a unique opportunity to enjoy an additional income stream alongside the farming operation. Opportunities to secure a productive farm with the potential for ongoing passive income are few and far between, making this an exceptionally attractive proposition. The farm is currently leased to a local farmer, providing flexibility for future ownership plans.

The well-positioned four-bedroom brick home is nestled amongst established trees, enjoys a sunny north-facing aspect, and captures picturesque views across the flats and surrounding countryside. Farm infrastructure is comprehensive and includes a three-stand woolshed, sheep yards, two sets of satellite sheep yards, miscellaneous sheds, an airstrip, and a fertiliser bin with approximately 100-tonne capacity.

Fencing is predominantly conventional, complemented by some internal electric fencing. Stock water is well catered for via a spring-fed dam supplying gravity-fed troughs, along with natural streams and additional dams throughout the property.

Adding further appeal, additional parcels of land located within three kilometres are also available for purchase. Acquiring these properties together could create a substantial landholding ideally suited to forestry development, carbon farming, or long-term investment strategies.
