Prime Central Freehold Land and Buildings

We are pleased to be offering this 1060sqm commercial building that sits on 3249sqm of prime central freehold land.

Zoned Industrial under the Grey District plan this is a very rare freehold opportunity for all manner of industry and provides close access to the river and Port of Greymouth.
Originally built for the NZ Defence Force in 1959, the building is in two halves the first being the Gresson Street front facing portion which has a number of separate offices, a large common lounge complete with fire and a bar, along with separate male and female ablutions. This wing also has a separate loading bay to double doors and extensive parking areas.

The second wing, historically the army drill hall, is now an operating furniture factory. It has been extensively re-wired to a very high standard. This area also comes with extensive storage areas and one strong room. Due to the property having dual access from both Gresson Street and Johnston Street this part of building also provides complete drive through access via high roller doors on either side of the building.

The property is currently deemed as earthquake prone by the local authority, but built solidly with reinforced block and internal steel portal framing.

The property is also very attractive due to the large amount of open parking, ideal for a number of company vehicles and trucks, or for the development of additional buildings if required.

Central CBD freehold industrial properties such as this are an absolute rarity in the Greymouth commercial area so ensure you call either of the listing agents to gain access to all additional information and to arrange a personal site visit.
