5746 Makotuku Valley Road, Erua, Ruapehu

Welcome to Waiora Lodge, a beautifully positioned rural property offering the ideal blend of comfort, privacy, and nature. Waiora generally refers to the concept of wellbeing linked to the source of life, which is water. Once you arrive you’ll understand why.

Our well-appointed main home boasts spacious open-plan living that flows to a large outdoor entertaining area. The wood fire set between two picture windows facing the mountain provides that luxury chalet feel while the heat pump offers the no-fuss solution to heating and cooling. Finished with three generous bedrooms, two bathrooms and a practical laundry/drying space this is everything you need from your rural haven.

But wait, there’s more; linked to the main home via a large carport is a fully consented self-contained two bedroom sleepout. This could provide extra accommodation, a rumpus space for older children or perhaps some separation for a work-from-home opportunity. A connected workshop/storage area adds functional appeal.

Currently used as a holiday home this property is easily adapted for guests, extended family or multi-generational living. Set in it’s own park-like grounds this is a place you and your guests will want to return to again and again.

Set on 6 hectares (more or less) of land, including covenanted native bush, this property is a haven for birdlife especially the elusive Whio. Located between Ohakune and Waimarino National Park within easy reach of two ski fields, the dual world heritage Tongariro National Park, the Mountains to Sea mountain bike trail, all season adventure is on your doorstep. Come and see why Waiora Lodge is the place to be.
