When Don and Kay built their home in 2021, they wanted it to be filled with sunlight, warmth, and be easy to live in - a home that was as beautiful as it was practical. They adjusted the plans to make the living area and main bathroom larger and added an extra sliding door so the north-facing lounge could soak up every bit of sunshine. And it works just beautifully. The open-plan living area has become the heart of the home, with a Metro woodburner keeping things cosy through winter and sliders that open out to a private Futurewood entertainer's deck. Their friends love visiting to enjoy the spacious deck with BBQ, spa pool, and large rotating cantilever umbrella. The kitchen is filled with thoughtful extras like an induction hob, insinkerator, and cold water filter, while the rest of the home boasts conveniences such as gas hot water, double-glazed joinery, and even attic storage in the integral double garage. Kay's garden has been a real labour of love, with established planting, vege pods, and a fish pond (complete with a resident frog), plus a swing seat where they enjoy their morning coffee. Two years ago, Kay had a stroke, and that's when they realised just how grateful they were for the way they'd designed their home. The smart lighting, motorised curtains, and easy, single-level layout have made life so much simpler and more comfortable. It's a home that really looks after you - one that's warm, sun-filled, and wonderfully easy to live in. They don't want to move, but Don and Kay hope you'll love living here as much as they have.
