This well established 152.489 hectare (more or less) bare land block is subdivided into 24 paddocks, making it a reliable unit for wintering, finishing, and fattening livestock.
With a well balanced mix of contour and aspect, the property is well suited to a variety of stock classes and has already demonstrated its reliability in wintering young stock, all while offering several elevated building platforms.
Infrastructure is well set up with modern cattle yards, sheep yards and a central all weather laneway for efficient stock movement.
Water is secure with six units of Albury water (10,800 litres per day) and 50,000 litres of storage reticulated to all paddocks.
A strong fertiliser and regrassing program is in place with 30 hectares resown in 2023/2024 and a further 29 hectares scheduled for sowing in spring 2025. 16 hectares of fodder beet is also grown with last years crop yielding 22 tonne.
The current stock policy includes purchasing 1,200 half bred lambs at 30kg in February, which are finished and processed in September/October at an average of 23kg. The cattle policy varies but typically involves running 350 Angus steer calves from April, supplying Five Star Beef from November through to March. Additionally, 100 fifteen month old steers are grazed from early February to the end of March, also destined for Five Star Beef. A further 150 Angus fifteen month heifers arrive in January and are sold between May and August. The operation also includes 30 in-calf cows arriving in early September, which are calved down, with the cows sold by the end of March.
