2164 Te Mai Road, Tinui Valley, Masterton

Positioned in a proven forestry area, Te Mai Forest offers diverse income from carbon and future harvest, with an excellent standard of establishment and quality access.
Te Mai Forest comprises 140.2 hectares of pinus radiata registered in the Emissions Trading Scheme, with a further 24.8 hectares of second rotation pinus radiata, adding additional harvest income, on 219 hectares of freehold land (subject to final survey). Planted in two stages, with 23 hectares completed in 2022 and 141.6 hectares in 2024, the forest has been professionally managed, with the hard work completed.
Te Mai Forest benefits from access at the top of both blocks via public roads, streamlining future harvest operations and allowing direct access to the upper areas of both blocks. Located 93 kilometres from the Waingawa Centreport log yard and 168 kilometres from port, this well-established forest is positioned for strong future returns.
While smaller than many institutional holdings, its quality, access and the current regulatory environment make it an appealing opportunity for local syndicates, private investors and offshore purchasers seeking well-established forestry assets.
An 11 kilometre drive from the coastal settlement of Mataikona, and featuring both a 125smq quarters and smaller 63sqm cottage, there are options to enjoy recreational hunting and diving from the property.
This combination of quality establishment, efficient access and location positions the forest well for long-term returns.
