This property is reputed to have been the first house built in Waipawa. It has a National Heritage Category 2 registration. The property has been the venue for public gatherings on the front lawn amongst the mature trees, roses and hydrangeas over the years. The house has a colonial “Walton family” style appearance with a covered veranda and concrete steps forming a grand entrance to the front door. A conservatory is off the master bedroom forming an extension and has exterior access. The carport is built between the large double garage with a wood storage lean and the side of the house. There’s a pond at the top end of the property with mature trees. There are three tunnel houses which need some attention. There’s wire fencing on the boundaries.
