Positioned just one house back from the stunning north-facing beach, this property enjoys an enviable setting at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, with private beach access across the reserve. It’s an easy, relaxed holiday home where the hardest decision is whether to head to the beach or settle in at home.
Light-filled and spacious, the open-plan kitchen and living area features a high ceiling and large bi-fold doors opening to an expansive deck. There’s even a glimpse of the ocean, while the outdoor bar provides the perfect spot for morning coffee, breakfast or evening drinks.
Accommodation is thoughtfully arranged with three bedrooms, including the main room with ensuite and its own deck access. The carpeted double garage has provided extra (unofficial) sleeping space, while an outside hut offers another option.
With three bathrooms, plus a separate toilet and an outdoor shower, everything is set up for easy beachside living. Add the table tennis table, board games, sports equipment and a collection of good books, and you have all the ingredients for memorable family holidays.
The location is hard to beat. The Dunes Golf Course is within an easy stroll, and tennis courts are even closer, while the local shops, boat ramp and Whangapoua Harbour are also nearby.
Beyond Matarangi, there are countless opportunities to explore the Coromandel, from local coastal and bush walks and beaches to Coromandel and Whitianga towns, which are both around a half-hour scenic drive.
