6648 Hyde-Middlemarch Road, Middlemarch, Dunedin City

We proudly present this immaculately presented productive Strath Taieri dairy support and finishing property.

Comprised of 87.6221 hectares of flat contour, located just north of Middlemarch, - the property is currently primarily operated as a dairy grazing unit, commercially grazing circa 600 head of mixed-age and R2 dairy cattle over winter as well as replacement dairy heifer and beef grazing over the balance of the year. Internal paddock and lane set-up is very conducive to efficient stock and pasture management and is supported by a complement of good infrastructure including cattle yards and woolshed, along with a number of tidy supporting buildings.

Owned and operated by our vendor and their son over the past 14 years, the attention to development during their tenure is obvious, with fertility levels and regrassing having been a focus, along with a new water system supplied from the Six-Mile scheme, reticulated to a network of troughs.

On-farm accommodation is provided by the substantial four-bedroom character home which is set amongst a mature setting, with numerous outbuildings and sunny outdoor living area.

The property’s quality of layout and functionality is apparent, providing excellent wintering capability as well as year-round performance, providing a great opportunity to step straight in and continue its current use or alternatively as a very useful finishing unit.

The situation and presentation offered is a credit to our vendor, we present this property with strong confidence.
