850 Sandel Road, Whakamaru, Taupo

Some farms simply work, and this is one of them. Set on a north-westerly aspect at 850 Sandel Road is a self-contained dairy operation with the scale and opportunity.

Held in two separate titles, the property gives you genuine flexibility. Around 277 ha of rolling dairy land is backed by a further 100 ha of dairy support land, while 31 ha of mixed-age pines (outside the ETS) add future income. All animals are wintered on and fully self-contained.

At the heart of the farm sits a centrally placed 50-bale rotary, serviced by a well-formed central race network. Two bores supply header tanks that gravity-feed troughs in every paddock. An electric pump in the unlined Effluent pond (recent pond drop test on file) spreads the effluent by travelling irrigator over approximately 40 ha.

Milking an average of 550 cows, the farm consistently produces around 235,000kgMS, peaking at 265,000 kgMS and leaving room for more future production. An annual cropping program of around 30 ha of turnips and 20 ha of kale generates steady pasture renewal.

Two four-bedroom main homes, both with swimming pools, plus two three-bedroom homes and a two-bedroom cottage provide excellent accommodation.

This property is well set up and ready to go.
