227 Bredow Road, Douglas, Stratford

Set across approximately 123 hectares, this established dairy and beef property offers a versatile mix of approximately 46 hectares of flat to easy dairy country valley, 34 hectares of hill contour and 43 hectares of steeper hill country.

The property is thoughtfully laid out, with the three-bedroom Hardiplank home, 16-aside herringbone cowshed and support buildings conveniently positioned at the front of the farm with the entrance at the very end of Bredow Road. A central race runs along the valley, providing access to the majority of the milking platform, while the steeper country is accessed through the adjoining paddocks.

Approximately 90 cows are milked on the property, with a further 90 beef animals reared from birth, providing a balanced dairy and beef operation. Farm infrastructure includes an implement shed, storage shed, haybarn, old woolshed and yarding facilities. Natural springs from the hills provide water supply to the house, cowshed and farm. Effluent is pumped from a sump to two irrigation ponds and applied to pasture, with the current consent expiring in 2028.
