Some homes are simply different, Bonnieux Cottage is one of them.

Beautifully reimagined, this enchanting 1870s cottage brings together the craftsmanship of another era with the personality of contemporary design. Original native totara and matai floors, high stud ceilings and a hand-carved kauri staircase sit comfortably alongside bold interiors, thoughtful modern updates and spaces designed for relaxed living.

Relocated in 1995 and set within established gardens on a generous 689m2 north-facing site, the cottage feels private, welcoming and wonderfully removed from the everyday.

Inside, three generous bedrooms and inviting living spaces are filled with natural light. The character-filled lounge centres around a cosy wood burner, while the contemporary kitchen flows into the open-plan dining area, creating an easy setting for everyday living and entertaining.
Large sliding doors open onto a covered deck, connecting indoor and outdoor living. Beyond, established gardens provide the perfect backdrop for long lunches, morning coffees and afternoons on the lawn. There's room for children and pets to play, space to entertain, and a petanque court adding a little French-inspired fun.
A renovated principal bathroom, ensuite and laundry bring modern comfort, while upstairs, the attic rooms offer flexibility for a home office, creative studio, hobbies or storage.

Just minutes from Martinborough's cafes, shops, schools and vibrant village centre, Bonnieux offers a distinctive take on country-town living: a home with history, personality and all the comforts of today.

Previously enjoyed as a much-loved home and successful homestay, Bonnieux Cottage offers options for those seeking a special place to live, a weekend escape or the opportunity to continue its established accommodation story.
