1047M Purangi Road, Cooks Beach, Thames-Coromandel

A 14.8 hectare trophy orchard with a private ‘rockstar’ address in an incredibly beautiful part of the world where the snapper run thick.
Surrounded by the deep blue game fishing water and pink sands of Mercury Bay.

Consented bore with plenty of water.
Deep rich and fertile volcanic soils and a sub-tropical micro-climate make this the ultimate location for growing avocados or kiwifruit.

Surveyors advice suggests that with a bit of native planting and restoration work this block is subdividable. Multiple dwellings are now permitted on rural land so property lends itself to multi-generational shared ownership or purchase by a group of like-minded friends.
This is a seriously productive and well managed avocado orchard that has been providing high value early fruit to the world market for around 25 years.

Through history, crops grown in the ground do change. The strong returns that kiwifruit produce are hard to ignore. New varieties like G3 and Hihi are exciting. The shelters on this orchard are established; the irrigation bore is consented and ready. Gear sheds and accommodation are already built. It is worth considering conversion from avocado to kiwifruit.

As a lifestyle, the Shakespeare Cliff and beachside walkways, continuous little ferry to Whitianga, excellent Eggcentric Cafe, not to mention the proximity to Hot Water Beach, Cathedrel Cove, Hahei, Cooks Beach, the climate and the incredible marine environment all around you make this location very hard to beat.
