Belleknowes doesn’t often come up at this end of the market. This 3-bedroom bungalow gives you a practical, affordable way into one of Dunedin’s most established suburbs.

First home buyers: you get a solid, liveable home to settle into now and improve over time, in a suburb people tend to stay in.

Investors: it’s a straightforward rental in a location tenants want, close to the city, the hospital and the university.

Developers and future builders: the 446m2 site also gives you the option to remove the existing home and build a modern, lock-up-and-leave townhouse, subject to council consents. You’d end up with something low-maintenance in a location that’s hard to buy into.

There’s an open-plan kitchen and living area, a heat pump and log burner for year-round warmth, and off-street parking.

Roslyn Village, good local schools, parks and the city centre are all minutes away.

Whichever way you look at it, this is a sensible buy in a great location.

After more than 20 years with the same owner, this home is ready for someone new. Live in it, rent it, or rebuild it. The start is the same in every case: a foothold in Belleknowes.
