Born and raised in the Mackenzie District, James comes from a family that has proudly farmed the region for over 100 years. This deep connection to the land shaped his career and his unwavering appreciation for the lifestyle and challenges faced by those in the agricultural sector. 

 A graduate of Lincoln University, James honed his skills on farms across the South Island, gaining invaluable insights into diverse farming operations. Today, he and his wife Katie, along with their three sons, operate a successful 1,000-hectare sheep and beef farm—a testament to their dedication and hands-on expertise.  In 2024, James expanded his horizons, launching a career in real estate with the same passion and determination that have defined his farming journey.
