Connor Downey is a Commercial and Industrial Broker specialising in Auckland’s central industrial corridor, with a focus on Mount Wellington, Onehunga, and Penrose.

Before entering real estate, Connor built a well-rounded background across the construction, superyacht, and property sectors. Beginning in commercial construction and later contracting in high-end residential builds, he developed a sharp eye for quality and detail. His hands-on experience also includes seven months working aboard Michael Hill’s superyacht before joining Wolfbrook, where he gained valuable insight into property acquisition and development.

Since joining James Group in August 2025, Connor has worked alongside Josh and Alex, combining strong communication, client service, and attention to detail to achieve results for owners and occupiers alike. His construction knowledge and grounded approach enable him to provide practical, results-driven advice throughout every stage of a property transaction.

Born and raised in Hamilton, Connor has been surrounded by commercial and industrial property his entire life through his family’s construction business. Outside of work, he enjoys watching code (after hanging up the boots), weightlifting, surfing, spearfishing, and has competed and won at a national level in Jiu Jitsu.
