Gerard joined ABC as a business broker and business partner in the Wellington branch of the business. Gerard has an extensive sales, marketing and strategic management background in a multinational corporate environment, as well as seven years on the ground experience running his own business in the construction sector. He has also carried out a wide variety of contract, consulting and project management assignments for petroleum, manufacturing, industrial, local government and home care clients.   

Gerard has a natural interest in all business and really enjoys getting to know the huge variety of interesting people that establish, own and run them. This interest meshes perfectly with his move into business sales where he can also use his broad understanding of business fundamentals to assist both sellers and buyers to meet their objectives. 

Gerard’s approach to business sales is to ensure he understands the unique story of each business so that he is in the strongest possible position to explain the business to prospective buyers. As Gerard says, “by approaching it like I was going to buy it myself, I can develop an understanding of what really makes it tick and I can then bring those insights to buyers”.
