Born in Ngaruawahia to nomadic parents, my early years were spent in, Stratford, Hawera, Eltham, Manutahi, New Plymouth and Bell Block. Most of my schooling was in New Plymouth - Welbourne Primary - Highlands Intermediate and New Plymouth Girls High School. I had some interesting jobs for short periods, the most significant being a courier driver for Dobson Motors (pre children) - then when the children were old enough I took a job at The Waitara Town and Country Club where I stayed for 17 years.I then decided Real Estate might be the ticket so I joined Sheryl at Harcourts Waitara as a consultant for two years. I love real estate, the houses the people - but being an agent was not for me so I moved on for awhile, now I'm back with them in an administration role which suits me perfectly.Waitara has been my home for 36 years having married Paul King (Waitara Born and Bred) - we moved into the King family home on Cracroft Street and unlike my parents I have stayed put.We have two children Jay and Donna and each of them have given us a grandson, Max and Sam. I now know what all the fuss is about!!! - there is nothing more rewarding than having children of your own, but then you get grandchildren and they turn you into the biggest fools for them - long may it last.
