Sonia started her career in the Financial Services industry where she remained for 30 years, until a career change saw her step into Property Management in Auckland. Sonia always knew she would return to her birthplace which she did in 2018, and worked in Property Management in Turangi as the sole Property Manager with a large portfolio. A recent change of location to Taupō resulted in Sonia bringing her overall experience in the local market to Tremains Taupō.

Excelling in her communication skills with people from all walks of life, Sonia’s maturity and life skills are evident when dealing with owners and tenants alike. Sonia enjoys her interactions with her clients as she can project confidence and humour in all aspects of her professional life.

Sonia was born in Taupō and spent her early years in Tūrangi. She is of Ngāti Tūwharetoa descent and is very proud of her heritage. Educated at a Catholic Boarding School in Napier, Sonia and her family moved to Auckland where she spent many years before moving back to her birth place, a place where her extended whānau still reside.
