I began my real estate career in 1996 with H.G Livingstone Residential and then joined the First National Group in 2000. In 2002, I and two other colleagues bought the local agency and renamed it Avon Realty Ltd. In 2006, I sold my shares to spend more time with my children and partnered with David Lawrence Real Estate. In 2015, with David's retirement, I took over management of the company and in 2017 changed the name to Tim Baker Real Estate. I have lived and worked in Aranui my entire life and have become the local historian for the area, having published books on the history of the suburb. I have served on several local Boards and am an elected member of the Waitai Coastal Burwood Linwood Community Board.
