NZ Post new build, 12 year lease

• NZ Post’s (SOE) brand new regional courier and sorting facility, completed in July 2026
• 12 year + 4 x 4 year lease (final expiry 2054) with annual rent reviews
• Significant taxation benefits under Investment Boost tax incentive

A substantial, solid looking, brand new industrial building, with steel and concrete construction. Strategically located for NZ Post’s requirements, the property brings their Napier and Hastings regional courier and sorting operations under one roof.

This state-owned enterprise tenant (NZ Government 100% shareholder) has a new 12-year + 4 x 4 year rights of renewal lease, providing a final expiry of 2054. A combination of annual CPI (min 1%, max 3%) and market rent reviews provide future potential rental growth on the initial $750,000 p.a. rental.

This impressive 4,271sqm building sits on a large 8,288sqm industrial zoned site with excellent access to the main roading networks and easy transport routes to all parts of Hastings, Napier (including airport and port) and surrounds.

With the building completed July 2026, significant taxation benefits are available under the NZ Government’s ‘Investment Boost’ tax incentive that applies to new commercial buildings, accelerating depreciation and improving cash returns. The purchaser will further benefit from new-build warranties, along with the low maintenance costs and peace of mind that comes with buying new.

With an undoubted tenant covenant, long lease with annual rent reviews, and the benefits of a brand new building, this is a stand-out investment proposition.
